Shogun Showdown

The Shogun Showdown started in 2025 with the intention of growing New Zealand FMX and ultimately FMX worldwide. After establishing a strong foundation with ramps, bikes, parts, and coaching, we realized everyone needed an outlet and a platform to showcase their skills. Out of this vision, the Shogun Showdown was born.

In 2025, riders from amateurs to pros in New Zealand's FMX and BMX came together at a grassroots event among friends and family, sparking a wave of excitement that set the stage for the future of the sport.

Our goal was achieved. We set out to build the New Zealand FMX, already strong BMX community and expose riders to real competition. We did just that. The event provided emerging talent with the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow.

Plans are underway for Shogun Showdown 2026. Next year, we are opening the event to the public, welcoming vendors and like-minded brands to join in and enjoy the action.
